I want to share with you a tiny trick that’s helped me stay a bit more focused on the work that matters.
This will help you especially if you’ve failed at time-blocking or putting tasks on your calendar.
I've tried to do both. I can't do it. My brain likes meetings on the calendar. Not tasks. The moment a task gets pushed, it disappears into calendar history…So I’ve switched to something simpler.
I type the three most important things I need to do into Apple Notes. Take a screenshot. Make it my phone wallpaper.
Now every time I pick up my phone, the things I'm supposed to be doing stare back at me.
For some time I defaulted to pen and paper, but eventually that piece of paper became a dumping ground for random thoughts.
The phone is different. Because when my discipline is at its lowest I reach for my phone. And instead of that mini dopamine hit, I see the list.
And I'm reminded of what matters.
Hope this helps you stay a bit more focused.
Be well. Talk soon.

P.S. Last fall I shared a few tiny tricks that keep my overthinking brain a bit more sane.
