There is a beautiful, simple offer in the advisory world.

One built around a single promise: “Just call or text when you have a question.”

No program or scheduled meetings or time limits.

Just access.

There is an elegance to this.

Because it doesn’t feel transactional. The advisee drives the process. The calendar isn’t serving as the accountability partner forcing them to scramble to prepare five minutes before a scheduled meeting.

Just the space to pick up the phone and say, “Let me ask you a question…”

The reason I love this is because it highlights how the access itself is freeing.

Knowing someone is there removes certain amount of overwhelm before a question is ever asked.

And despite what some people fear, unlimited access is rarely overused.

In the few instances I’ve seen this model in practice, the same observation keeps appearing: people self-regulate remarkably well.

The advisees aren’t trying to maximize their utilization rates. They’re trying to rule the world and only occasionally need a trusted perspective.

Which is why I think this offer is so elegant. It sells peace of mind as much as it sells advice.

Thank you for reading.

Be well. Talk soon.
